Kane has missed the past eight games with an ankle injury but, coming off the Christmas holiday in which the Hawks had three days off the ice, he's almost ready to return.
"I'm really happy with the last couple days, [but] I think once you get in a game it's a little bit different," Kane said after practice on Monday. "For now I'm pretty happy with it."
Crawford missed Sunday's game against Columbus after coming down with a cold Christmas Eve.
"It was a rough Christmas Day," Crawford said. "I'm over it now and just trying to get back into it."
Crawford said he's not 100 percent, and Turco's performance in the Hawks' 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets helped his case for a second straight start.
"Either way, he's going," Quenneville said of his reasoning. "I think both guys would get consideration, but Marty has it."
Turco won on Sunday for the first time since Nov. 17.
