CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews will miss two weeks with an upper-body injury, the team announced on Wednesday.

He suffered the injury in a 3-1 loss to the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

Toews left the game after taking a hit from Matt D'Agostini along the boards in the first period. Toews left the ice favoring his right shoulder.

"The tests that were done, I think we got a pretty good read on him," coach Joel Quenneville said on Wednesday. "I think [Tuesday] night we had a pretty good idea, and he's feeling OK [Wednesday]. That's kind of where we are at."

Toews has 15 goals and 18 assists and is second on the team with 33 points.

The Blackhawks were just getting healthy. Patrick Kane returned to the ice on Tuesday after missing eight games with an ankle injury. Marian Hossa was back the game before that after sitting the 10 previous contests with a knee injury.

"We've dealt with injuries," Brian Campbell said. "You have to move on, and if you can't move on you're not going to be very successful."
