VANCOUVER -- The war of words between Vancouver Canucks coach Alain Vigneault and Chicago Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville appears to be over.

Vigneault, who had accused Quenneville of trying to run up the score during Chicago's 7-1 win on Nov. 20, said the coaches buried the hatchet.

"I stand by what I said, but Q and I kissed and made up at the All-Star Game," Vigneault said.

There was some speculation Vigneault responded by having his top players take the ice late in a 3-0 win in Chicago on Dec. 3. But Quenneville agreed the coaches kissed and made up.

"Yeah, but he had bad breath," Quenneville said.

The Hawks play the Canucks on Friday night.
