CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Kane declared himself ready to play Wednesday night against the Minnesota Wild after missing two days of practice with the flu.

"There's probably been five or six guys that have gotten the same thing," Kane said after practice on Wednesday morning. "Its not very fun, that's for sure. I'm glad I had the last few days to rest."

Kane, Jake Dowell and Marian Hossa are among the Blackhawks to have experienced the same symptoms, which include nausea. Kane was hooked up to an IV tube on Wednesday morning.

"Monday was a pretty bad day for me," Kane said. "It's pretty rough to eat, but I have to get something in my body to get some energy for tonight ... Hopefully I'll have enough energy to do the same things I want to do out there."
