CHICAGO -- Newly acquired Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Chris Campoli is planning on joining his new team in time for Wednesday's game against the Calgary Flames, according to his agent.

As a Canadian national, Campoli had to get a work visa before joining the Hawks. His agent, Rich Evans, said that has been taken care of and Campoli is planning on arriving in Chicago on Tuesday night.

Campoli was traded Monday by the Ottawa Senators to the Hawks, along with a conditional seventh-round draft pick in exchange for forward Ryan Potulny and a conditional second-round pick.
