CHICAGO -- Chicago Blackhawks forward Patrick Sharp is on the mend from a left knee injury, but there is no timetable for his return to the ice, according to coach Joel Quenneville.

"I can't say exactly when he's hitting the ice but he's making some rapid progress here," Quenneville said after Sunday's practice. "We're pleased and encouraged he's been able to ratchet up his off-ice training and conditioning as well."

Sharp was injured in a game against the Phoenix Coyotes on March 20, but is expected to return before the end of the regular season.

Center Dave Bolland (concussion) remains out of the lineup. Quenneville said Bolland has made some progress, but not enough to return to the ice. Bolland has missed the last six games after getting hit in the head against the Tampa Bay Lightning on March 9.
