DETROIT -- Red Wings forward Johan Franzen will play Monday night against the Chicago Blackhawks after missing four games with a groin injury.

Pavel Datsyuk, meanwhile, will miss his fifth straight game with a lower-body injury.

"I skated the last four days, so yeah, it feels good," Franzen said Monday morning.

Joey MacDonald gets the call in net for Detroit while Jimmy Howard rests the left shoulder he injured Saturday night. An MRI on Sunday revealed no damage.

It will be the first of three games between the rivals during the last two weeks of the regular season.
