Viktor Stalberg agrees to two-year deal

The Chicago Blackhawks and forward Viktor Stalberg agreed to terms on a two-year contract, the team announced Sunday.

The deal is worth a total of $1.75 million, according to a source.

Stalberg had 12 goals and 12 assists in 77 regular-season contests last season, his first with the Blackhawks. The 25-year-old ranked fourth among club forwards with 102 hits. He also scored one goal in seven postseason games.

Stalberg, who the Hawks acquired from Toronto on June 30, 2010, was originally selected by the Maple Leafs in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2006 National Hockey League Entry Draft. He has tallied 21 goals, 17 assists and 73 penalty minutes in 117 career regular-season games over parts of two NHL seasons with Toronto (2009-10) and Chicago.
