Refs eject wrong Bowling Green player

Bowling Green DB Dernard Turner was ejected for targeting, ending his day and sending him into the locker room. After a quick review, they negated the ejection, sending Falcons staff scrambling to get Turner back on the field.

Falcons win big

Bowling Green won its second conference game 62-38 over UMass. Falcons QB Matt Johnson completed 33-of-39 passes for 450 yards and five TDs. Johnson leads the MAC in passing yards and passing TDs this season. Game Summary

Falcons not letting up

UMass not going away

Minutemen WR Marken Michel catches a short-screen pass from QB Blake Frohnapfel and takes it 21 yards to the end zone. Frohnapfel’s third TD pass of the day makes the score 49-31 late in the third quarter.


Minutemen rip off 97-yard return

James Oliphant returns a kickoff 97 yards for UMass after Bowling Green had scored 14 unanswered points. The Minutemen still have a long way to go, down 42-24 midway through the third quarter.
