Seminoles grab win, Fisher not satisfied

Florida State escaped vs. Wake Forest with a 24-16 win, but coach Jimbo Fisher wasn't satisfied with how his team played. "We had chances offensively, defensively to finish the game and we didn't do that."

An interception in the end zone saves the day for Florida State. The No. 11 Seminoles escape Wake Forest with a 24-16 win. Might Jimbo Fisher make a change at quarterback before next week's Miami game?

Can Wake Forest tie it up?

Wake Forest will have a chance to upset No. 11 Florida State as they get the ball with 1:42 left trailing 24-16. The Seminoles offense has done nothing this fourth quarter, and the Demon Deacons put together back-to-back 14-play scoring drives on the Seminoles defense. A loss ends FSU's playoff hopes.

Florida State leads Wake Forest 14-10 at the half. Deacs QB Kendall Hinton and the running game are keeping the Seminoles defense off balance and on the field. FSU QB Everett Golson has been the victim of some drops, but he's not playing great. If Golson can't engineer a few scoring drives without Dalvin Cook (doubtful to return), might FSU turn to Sean Maguire?

Kendall Hinton connected with Cam Serigne for this 7-yard TD, pulling the Demon Deacons withing 3 points of No. 11 Florida State.

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is doubtful to return after suffering a left leg injury in the first quarter. Cook scored a 94-yard touchdown on his first rush of the game. On the next possession, however, he pulled up lame on a catch. The Seminoles lead Wake Forest 14-3 after third-string RB Johnathan Vickers scored on a nine-yard rush.

Florida State running back Dalvin Cook is sidelined with a left hamstring injury to start the second quarter. The Seminoles are already without backup RB Mario Pender. Will the FSU offense, which has struggled the last two games, be able to generate points without its Heisman Trophy candidate?

Jared Shanker ESPN Staff Writer

Dalvin Cook had a streak of five straight 100-yard rushing games snapped two weeks ago, but the Florida State star is closing in on the century mark early against Wake Forest. His first carry went for a 94-yard touchdown.
