Alabama claims SEC West with win over Auburn

Derrick Henry ran 46 times for 271 yards and Adam Griffith kicked five field goals to propel Alabama to the SEC West title with a 29-13 victory over rival Auburn on Saturday.

Bama, Auburn exchange TD blows

Jake Coker capped a 9-play, 83-yard scoring drive with a 34-yard strike to give Alabama its first TD, but Auburn answered less than a minute later on Jason Smith's bobbling one-handed TD catch for 77 yards to pull the Tigers within a TD (19-13) late in the third. Coker dodges defenders, throws long TD

Alabama QB Jake Coker connected with WR ArDarius Stewart for a 34-yard touchdown in the third quarter. No. 2 Alabama leads Auburn 19-13 late in the quarter.

The first field goal that Alabama kicker Adam Griffith attempted at Jordan-Hare Stadium fell short. Remember the last play of the 2013 Iron Bowl? Griffith has made his next four, from 26, 41, 26 and 50 yards, and kicked off five times without a return in the first half.
