Rebels' McCluster makes SEC history

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Mississippi senior running back-receiver Dexter McCluster has become the first player in Southeastern Conference history with 1,000 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving in the same season.

An All-SEC pick as an all-purpose player, McCluster surpassed both marks in the first quarter of the Cotton Bowl on Saturday against Oklahoma State.

He entered only 15 yards shy of the rushing mark and 25 short in receiving.
