Midseason report: Stars have work to do

The first half of the Stars season is over. It wasn't really a good or bad first 41 games. As coach Marc Crawford aptly described it, the Dallas Stars were just "OK." But OK probably won't get them a playoff berth in the ultra-competitive Western Conference.

The Stars entered Tuesday night's game at 18-12-11 for 47 points. They are currently out of the top eight in the conference. The Stars are on pace for 94 points, which normally would be enough to make the playoffs. But the conference ...
