DALLAS -- Dallas Mavericks forwards Josh Howard and Drew Gooden were out with injuries Saturday night against the Utah Jazz.

Howard sustained a left thigh contusion in Friday night's 112-103 victory at San Antonio. Gooden sprained his right ring finger in that game and needed four stitches to close a cut on his chin.
