Rangers 2B Kinsler suffers ankle sprain

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Rangers second baseman Ian Kinsler has a high right ankle sprain and will be sidelined for at least a week.

Kinsler slipped on some wet grass during warm-ups Friday morning and rolled the ankle. He felt fine on Friday, but the diagnosis was made after Dr. Keith Meister, the team physician, examined the ankle.

"I will be ready to play, but I'm not going to put a timetable on it," Kinsler said. "I'll be playing games before we leave spring training."
