X-rays on Hamilton's hand negative

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Texas Rangers left fielder Josh Hamilton was hit on his left hand by a pitch from San Francisco Giants starter Madison Bumgarner and left the spring training game in the third inning Monday night.

The report from the training room was that it's a contusion on the outside of his left hand. Initial X-rays were negative, and he will be reevaluated Tuesday.
