SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton was evaluated by an endodontist after the right side of his face was swollen Tuesday morning. The club said Hamilton has a root or gum issue and that it is being treated.
Hamilton will see how he feels on Wednesday before it is determined when he might play again. Hamilton's left hand, which was bruised when he was hit by a pitch on Monday, felt fine on Tuesday. X-rays were negative.
