Hunter out 1-2 weeks with oblique strain

SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Texas Rangers right-handed pitcher Tommy Hunter has a left oblique strain and will miss one to two weeks.

The injury means Hunter, the team's projected No. 4 starter who has thrown just five innings in spring training games, is unlikely to be ready to start the season in the rotation.

"We now have one more spot come the first time or two through the rotation," assistant general manager Thad Levine said.
