Modano puts off decision until August

Free agent Mike Modano said Tuesday that he will wait until he's had a chance to skate some in early August before making a decision on his future.

Modano is still contemplating whether to play next season at age 40. He was told by the Dallas Stars this summer that the organization was moving forward with younger players and would not be bringing him back.
