Brandon Webb removed from rehab

Texas Rangers pitcher Brandon Webb has inflammation in his rotator cuff and has been taken off his rehab assignment.

Webb experienced discomfort in his right shoulder during a bullpen session Thursday. He was evaluated by team physician Keith Meister, diagnosed with the inflammation and prescribed anti-inflammatory medicine.

He will continue to throw on the side, and the club hopes this is a minor setback. The Rangers must wait at least seven days before starting a new rehab assignment.
