Kinsler had an injection in the front of the ankle last month. The 27-year-old has been dealing with a high right ankle sprain since March 12, when he injured it during morning spring training drills in Surprise, Ariz.
He is currently on the disabled list and would be eligible to come back this weekend, but no timetable has been set for his return.
