ARLINGTON -- Rangers pitcher Tommy Hunter was activated from the disabled list and assigned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday.
Hunter, who went on the disabled list with a left oblique strain just before the season began, pitched two scoreless innings in an extended spring game in Arizona on Wednesday. He's scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Friday before heading to Oklahoma City.
Hunter was expected to start the season in the rotation before suffering the injury in spring training. He was 9-6 with a 4.10 ERA in 19 starts for the Rangers in 2009.
