ARLINGTON, Texas -- Texas Rangers left-hander Derek Holland, throwing his first bullpen session since going on the disabled list with left rotator cuff inflammation, said he cut his bullpen session short Wednesday because there's "still a little pain."

Holland said he was supposed to throw 30 pitches, but threw only 17. It's unclear how much of a setback it is and what it means to Holland's schedule going forward.

Holland went on the 15-day DL on June 1. He is 2-1 with a 4.19 ERA in 19 1/3 innings this season, which includes five appearances and four starts. He has 16 strikeouts and six walks.
