TCU names Del Conte athletic director
TCU named Chris Del Conte as its new athletic director at a news conference Wednesday.
Del Conte currently is the athletic director at Rice University.
Del Conte takes over the post vacated by Danny Morrison, who left TCU in September to become president of the Carolina Panthers.
Del Conte was hired as Rice's athletic director in June 2006. He oversaw several fundraising efforts to upgrade facilities during his tenure.
Del Conte previously served as the senior associate athletic director for external operations and sports programs for Arizona.
