In this week's ESPN RISE Regional Players of the Week, it took less than one half for Arundel (Gambrills, Md.) QB Billy Cosh to throw seven touchdowns and set a career state record. Across the country in California, meanwhile, Dillon Baxter needed the entire game to do his dirt, which included six scores and a timely interception.

East Region Player of the Week
Billy Cosh (Arundel, Gambrills, Md.)
A Kansas State commit, Cosh clipped the Maryland public school career touchdown-pass record by throwing for seven scores in Friday's 75-19 win over Glen Burnie (Glen Burnie, Md.). Cosh upped his career total to 85 touchdown passes, beating the previous record of 80 that was held by two players, including current Florida Gators cornerback Joe Haden. Cosh only played six minutes into the second quarter against Glen Burnie due to the lopsided score but was still 16-of-19 passing for 267 yards. It took Cosh only 19 career games to break the record.

Southeast Region Player of the Week
Willie Tindal (Stranahan, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.)

There are strong players in Fort Lauderdale who don't play for ESPN RISE FAB 50 No. 1 St. Thomas Aquinas, and Tindal is one of them. In a 53-6 win over Forest Hill (West Palm Beach, Fla.) last Friday, the senior quarterback completed 14-of-19 passes for 344 yards and seven touchdowns even though he was taken out after the third quarter due to the lopsided score. Tindal's seven touchdown passes tied a Broward County record.

Midwest Region Player of the Week
Charles Gresham (Heath, Ohio)

The senior running back scored six touchdowns for the second straight game and broke a 15-year-old school record with 404 rushing yards in a 47-27 victory over 5-2 Columbus Academy (Gahanna, Ohio). Gresham scored on runs of 30, 11, 39, 65, 51 and 67 yards. In the previous game, he scored six touchdowns five on the ground and one receiving while rushing for 206 yards in a 68-0 win over Whitehall (Columbus, Ohio). Heath improved to 6-1 with its win over Columbus Academy.

Southwest Region Player of the Week
James Franklin (Lake Dallas, Corinth, Texas)

A 6-foot-3, 225-pound Missouri recruit, Franklin led Lake Dallas to a 35-31 win over Denton Ryan (Denton, Texas) last week. The senior won a head-to-head battle with Ryan's record-threatening senior quarterback, Scotty Young. Franklin completed 25-of-42 passes for 317 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner with a little more than a minute left. But Franklin was perhaps even more effective running the ball with 33 carries for 202 yards and two scores. He either carried or passed the ball 75 times. For the season, Franklin has passed for 1,469 yards and 14 scores and rushed for 624 yards and 11 touchdowns.

West Region Player of the Week
Dillon Baxter (Mission Bay, San Diego, Calif.)

The 6-foot, 215-pound USC recruit turned in a spectacular effort last Friday against Lincoln (San Diego, Calif.). Baxter completed 15-of-32 passes for 282 yards and four touchdowns and carried the ball 23 times for 268 yards and two scores in Mission Bay's 41-34 win. Baxter also intercepted a pass and ran it back 41 yards (not for a touchdown) to stop Lincoln's potential go-ahead score and seal the win. Baxter, a senior who could play several positions for USC, has rushed for 1,090 yards and 16 touchdowns and passed for 781 yards and nine more scores so far this year for the 5-0 Buccaneers.
