The Dallas Stars put Karlis Skrastins on injured reserve Monday after the laceration on the defenseman's right index finger hadn't healed in time for him to play Tuesday at Anaheim.

Skrastins injured his finger on Dec. 3 against Anaheim when it was cut by a skate. He would be able to return this weekend if he's healthy and ready to play.

The Stars recalled Ivan Vishnevskiy from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary AHL affiliate. Vishnevskiy, 21, has four goals and six assists in 27 games for Texas. He played in three games last season and had two assists.
