Dampier complained about the officiating after the Mavs' Game 3 loss Friday night to the San Antonio Spurs.
"When we play defense we're under a magnifying glass, but when we're on offense, there's no magnifying glasses," Dampier said after the game. "You've got to call it both ways. Dirk Nowitzki drives, he doesn't get fouled. They drive on the other end and they get the little ticky-tack fouls. So keep it consistent, that's all. Don't be one way or the other."
Danny Crawford was the lead official on the crew in that game. The Mavs are 2-16 in playoff games officiated by Crawford during Mark Cuban's tenure as owner.
Dampier's comments came the day after commissioner David Stern warned players and coaches to stop publicly griping about officiating, calling such complaints "corrosive" for the league.
Mavericks center Erick Dampier was fined $35,000 by the NBA for criticizing officials.
