The Cowboys elected not to find another kicker on the free-agent market, instead opening the job to kickoff specialist David Buehler and Folk.
Folk has missed six of his last 10 field goal attempts.
Coach Wade Phillips said the team increased the number of field-goal tries for kickers in practice Wednesday.
"Again, that was something different that we felt like we needed to do," Phillips said. "Something maybe to kick start [Folk]. If he didn't respond, if he wasn't kicking the ball very good in these situations, well, then. He's kicked it well."
During the open media period Wednesday, Folk made four of five field goals in team drills and then made all four tries in individuals drills. Buehler went 3-for-4 in team and 3-for-4 in individual. Folk's miss came from 41 yards in team exercises.
Tony Romo was the holder in the team drills.
Folk keeps Cowboys kicker position, for now
