MINNEAPOLIS -- Dallas Cowboys starting left tackle Flozell Adams left Sunday's playoff game against the Minnesota Vikings with a right calf strain.

He did not return during the Cowboys' 34-3 season-ending loss.

Doug Free replaced Adams in the lineup.

On Free's second play, Vikings defensive end Jared Allen beat him one-on-one to force a strip sack of quarterback Tony Romo with about 6:28 to play in the second quarter.

The turnover resulted in a 23-yard field goal by Ryan Longwell to give the Vikings a 17-3 lead.

Free started seven games in place of injured Marc Colombo at right tackle this season and allowed just one sack in those games.
