Dallas Stars forward Jere Lehtinen is hampered by a groin injury and will not play against San Jose on Thursday night, a team official said.
Lehtinen, who suffered the injury in practice Wednesday, is listed as day-to-day and it's unknown whether he'll play Saturday in Phoenix. The 36-year-old missed nine games earlier this season with an injured intercostal muscle and has one assist in five games. He'll be replaced in the starting lineup by Brian Sutherby.
Forward Fabian Brunnstrom (shoulder) also will not play for the Stars on Thursday. He could play Saturday. Marty Turco will start in goal vs. the Sharks.
