"He's out tomorrow for sure," Crawford said."It's from the blocked shot a few weeks ago. He's been playing with lots of pain. We're shutting him down for tomorrow and we'll see where he's at."
Burish had been back in the lineup for the past eight games after missing eight before that with a fractured orbital bone. The Stars have gone 6-0-2 since Burish's return.
"We'd love to have Adam in because we think Adam makes a difference to our club," Crawford said. "He's just not able to play. [Friday] night he didn't have the speed to be able to contribute."
Burish, who signed with the Stars in the offseason after helping the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup, has eight goals and six assists in 60 games.
"He's been one of the guys that his energy he contributes around the team is really a positive," Crawford said. "You can't discount how important that is to a team."
