• Technical issues can't stop the determined Soccer Today team from forging ahead with an international edition of the program. Stein is in London after being dispatched to cover the FA Cup final for ESPNFC alongside special co-host Jonny Gould from Smooth Radio and talkSPORT, while Steve and show libero Landry Locker are manning the ESPN Dallas studios back in Las Colinas.
• After an extended discussion about Manchester City's shock FA Cup defeat to Wigan and the imminent sacking of Roberto Mancini, our attention turns to the stunning resignation of Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester United and some of the American angles related to Fergie's retirement and the forthcoming installation of David Moyes as his replacement.
• Men In Blazers co-host Roger Bennett, who also happens to be the biggest Everton fan we know, returns to the show to join Steve by phone and talk about the impact at Everton of Moyes leaving Tim Howard and Goodison Park behind after being handpicked by Sir Alex to take over at Old Trafford.
• Stein rejoins the show from London to chat more about his FA Cup experience, which he also extensively chronicled at ESPNFC. And then Jonny, who ranks as the biggest Aston Villa fan we know, takes us inside the selection of American goalkeeper Brad Guzan as the fans' player of the season at Villa ahead of leading scorer Christian Benteke.
