Twins pursuing Aurilia

• We haven't heard much from the Twins this week. But clubs that have spoken with them report that Minnesota has been talking to the Giants about Rich Aurilia for a middle-tier prospect -- and they've been dangling Boof Bonser for a right-handed bat or middle-infield depth.

• The Phillies continue to hunt for modestly priced left-handed bullpen types. The list of left-handers they're known to have called on includes John Grabow, Will Ohman, Arthur Rhodes and Jack Taschner.

• The Rockies are still telling teams they won't make any buy-or-sell decisions until after they finish their series in Pittsburgh on Wednesday night. But teams in on Brian Fuentes seem more doubtful than ever that he'll be traded.

• The White Sox haven't been able to muster much interest in their prospects in their quest for either a starting pitcher or a reliever who might have the ability to start. So clubs they've talked to say the White Sox have made Orlando Cabrera available for the right arm. But the three teams looking for immediate shortstop upgrades are the Cardinals, Twins and Orioles -- and Cabrera wouldn't be a fit for any of them.
