ESPNU150 Watch List tight end
Harrison Jones (Memphis, Tenn./Evangelical Christian), the younger brother of Alabama offensive lineman
Barrett Jones, has picked up three scholarship offers, including one from the Crimson Tide, and has seen his stock rise during the early stages on the 2010 recruiting cycle.
North Carolina and Stanford have offered in writing, along with Alabama. Jones was given an offer by Tide head coach Nick Saban during a trip to Tuscaloosa for a Junior Day last week.
Vanderbilt, Clemson, Duke, Wake Forest and Ole Miss also have indicated that they will offer soon.
Jones will make the trip over to Nashville to check out the Commodores on Friday. His high school has a playoff basketball game in the Music City and depending if they win or lose, he could visit Oxford or Tennessee on Saturday.
Jones plans to take an unofficial visit to North Carolina on March 8. That is the same day the Tar Heels mens basketball team plays host to archrival Duke. Jones is one of North Carolinas top targets at tight end.
Jones also plans to make an unofficial visit to Clemson. The Tigers have an in with Jones with first-year defensive coordinator Kevin Steele, who was an assistant at Alabama before heading back to his native South Carolina to join Dabo Swinnneys staff. Steele knows Jones family.
Jones plans to attend the Nike Football Training Camp on April 25 in Athens, Ga.
