Louisville makes an early appearance on court

March, 11, 2009
NEW YORK -- At halftime of the West Virginia-Notre Dame game (and we use the term "game" loosely), Louisville was presented with its trophy for winning the regular-season title.

Terrence Williams, who would share a trophy for nation's best personality with DeJuan Blair if there were such an animal, hoisted the big golden-globe award (not to be confused with the Golden Domers, who were taking a 36-18 hit from the Mountaineers) while his teammates surrounded him, rubbing the globe as if it were a lucky penny.

With the title, Louisville becomes the first of the new Big East additions to win the conference crown since the league expanded in 2006.
