INDIANAPOLIS -- Ohio State is taking control against an increasingly frustrated Michigan State, which cannot solve the Buckeyes' matchup zone. Meanwhile, Ohio State coach Thad Matta is gambling with a lineup that seemingly should have trouble finding points, but the gamble is working.

Matta took out his do-everything guy, Evan Turner, at the 12:10 mark of the second half after he committed his third foul. But with Turner, starting point guard P.J. Hill and starting center Dallas Lauderdale all on the bench, the Buckeyes have extended their lead to 13, 54-41, at the 11:18 mark. The last blow was a pull-up 3 by backup guard Jeremie Simmons late in the shot clock.

When shots like that are going down, it might just be the Bucks' day.
