Purdue takes early lead on UNI

March, 19, 2009
PORTLAND -- Purdue coach Matt Painter is standing right in front of me.

"Move it! Move it! Move it!"

He yells.

Painter wants his team to move it on offense, ESPN.com has learned.

A couple of dunks, a couple of 3-pointers and a good dose of that tenacious Purdue defense have the Boilermakers moving it to an early 16-6 lead over Northern Iowa.

Moreover, the early show of dominance is meaningful. It's not easy to come back against a team like Purdue, which is 11th nationally in field goal percentage defense and holds opponents to 59.1 points a game.

Might Cinderella be checking out early in this 5 versus 12 matchup?
