BOISE, Idaho -- Utah State-Marquette is the first game on tap, and the crowd at Taco Bell Arena heavily favors the Aggies.
There was a segment on the local news last night chronicling the throng of Aggies fans who had come from everywhere from Utah to California to watch their team try to get its first NCAA tournament win since 2001.
I'm also happy to report that Big Blue, the Utah State mascot, is back after serving a one-game suspension for fighting.
Marquette has its eagle mascot here, but it looks like the two are keeping a safe distance from each other.
The arena isn't quite full yet. The local newspaper reported that there were more than 200 tickets remaining as of this morning.
So, we'll see if more people begin filing in as the game progresses because this was a 10:30 a.m. local start.
