Gibson becoming a factor for USC

March, 22, 2009
MINNEAPOLIS -- Taj Gibson is becoming a factor, and USC's guards continue to sparkle.

After going scoreless in the first half, Gibson has tallied three quick points and two more fouls on Michigan State's Goran Suton. He also has two big blocks as USC has pulled ahead 47-44.

As has been a theme throughout its six-game win streak, USC is controlling the second half by attacking Michigan State every chance it gets. Michigan State has picked up five quick fouls, and its fans are all over the officials, but USC looks like the more aggressive team right now.

DeMar DeRozan added to his growing highlight vault with a monstrous dunk on a runout, and Daniel Hackett continues to play smart.
