DETROIT -- NBA legends Larry Bird and Magic Johnson, who squared off in the 1979 NCAA tournament championship game while starring at Indiana State and Michigan State, respectively, just appeared on the Ford Field court for a quick pregame ceremony.

The pair were introduced and posed for photos at midcourt with official Tom O'Neill. Bird was wearing a blue suit and blue shirt. Interestingly, Magic wasn't wearing green and white, the colors of his alma mater. He wore a black suit and blue striped shirt.

Bird shook hands with MSU coach Tom Izzo and then made his way to Roy Williams. Magic hugged Williams and then went to MSU's bench.
