Just as we speculated here on Tuesday, ESPNU150 tackle Robert Crisp (Chapel Hill, N.C./Chapel Hill) committed to North Carolina State. His brother, Peter Singer Jr., received his only scholarship offer from the Wolfpack recently and also pledged to State.

N.C. State has always been the team to beat here and offering Singer sealed the deal. The Singer family attended multiple Wolfpack home games last season and Crisp and Singer Jr. have taken multiple unofficial visits, since the start of this recruiting cycle.

It's a huge pick-up for N.C. State, which continues to build a strong offensive line through recruiting under Tom O'Brien, inking such prospects as standout R.J. Mattes (Concord, N.C./Robinson) in the Class of 2008 and sleepers Denzelle Good (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) and Duran Christophe (Woodstock, Ga./Woodstock) in the Class of 2009.

Crisp held scholarship offers from nearly every major program in the country.

Commitment rewind
ESPNU150 safety Gideon Ajagbe (Miramar, Fla./Ransom Everglades) committed to Florida on Tuesday. This came as no surprise because he received a qualifying test score. On Tuesday afternoon, a source close to Ajagbe's situation speculated that he would pick UF in the next 24-to-48 hours. The 6-foot-2, 201-pounder can play strong safety or perhaps even grow into an outside linebacker. He is another hard-hitting, speedy headhunter for Charlie Strong's defense. North Carolina also made a push for Ajagbe, but Florida led early and was the strongest team throughout.

Carswell is bound for Alabama
Alabama continues to roll as CrimsonConfidential.com reported that receiver Ronald Carswell (Macon, Ga./Westside) has committed to the Tide. Alabama now has four commitments thus far in the month of April. This weekend is Alabama's "A-Day" spring game and there are recruits expected in, so don't be surprised if the Tide picks up a few more commitments shortly.

Wolverines in on DB
Michigan has offered defensive back Travis Williams (Cooper City, Fla./Cooper City), joining Kansas State and Miami (Ohio). The Wolverines offered Tuesday.
