LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Barring a miraculous comeback, Indiana will become the first team eliminated from the Louisville Regional.

Vanderbilt broke the game wide open with a five-run fifth inning, chasing out Hoosiers starter Matt Bashore. The Commodores lead 9-0 now and need just six more outs to advance to Sunday's game against the Middle Tennessee State-Louisville loser.

Sonny Gray has thrown seven shutout innings, and just about every Vanderbilt hitter has contributed in some way.

Unless something dramatic happens, I'll be back with more on this game after interviews …
