LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- If form holds, tonight's game between top seed Louisville and No. 2 Middle Tennessee State should feature plenty of offense.
Both teams can mash the ball, and they each have one of the nation's top sluggers. The Cardinals' Chris Dominguez hit 23 home runs and drove in 79 this year, while the Blue Raiders' Bryce Brentz hit .480 with 28 homers and 72 RBIs.
Brentz will pitch tonight, too, meaning that Middle Tennessee won't use the DH. Brentz went 5-3 with a 4.78 ERA this season on the mound.
Louisville will go with sophomore left-hander Dean Kiekhefer, who has gone 6-4 with a 4.70 ERA this year.
Can either pitcher slow down these powerful offenses, or do we have a slugfest on our hands?
