Four teams seriously inquire about acquiring Bouwmeester's rights

MONTREAL -- Just more than four hours from the draft and we have this bit of information to pass on:.

A source told ESPN.com that four NHL teams have seriously inquired about acquiring the rights for pending unrestricted free-agent defenseman Jay Bouwmeester.

The Philadelphia Flyers are among those four teams -- hardly surprising given the fact they nearly acquired him at the trade deadline a few months back.

I'm not sure why Bouwmeester would agree to sign an extension with one of those four teams at this point given that he's come this far and the free-agent market opens Wednesday. But we'll see later today.
