Michael Dennis (Carey, Ohio) was not necessarily considered one of the top line prospects in the Buckeye State a couple months ago, perhaps in large part because he played tight end his sophomore and junior seasons.

However, the 6-foot-7 and 270-pound Dennis is being recruited as an offensive tackle, and he is making a steady rise up the chart of the top offensive line prospects in the state of Ohio.

Recruiters beat a fairly steady path to Carey in May to check on Dennis.

Dennis has seen his scholarship offer list grow to 13. It includes Michigan State, Illinois and Indiana from the Big Ten. Among Dennis' other offers are Maryland, North Carolina State, Iowa State and a host of MAC schools.

Dennis attended camps at Michigan State, Illinois, Indiana, Cincinnati, and most recently Ohio State this past weekend.

"I'm still keeping my options pretty open," Dennis said. "I'm just trying to find the school that is the best fit for me. I would like to decide before my senior (football) season starts."

Rodriguez closes in on another Ohio commitment

Michigan Coach Rich Rodriguez has commitments from five rising seniors from the state of Ohio. He seems close to adding a commitment from his first rising junior from the Buckeye State.

Defensive back Greg Brown (Fremont, Ohio/Ross) is one of the most recruited juniors-to-be in the state of Ohio. He worked out at the Ohio State Advanced Camp on Friday. Before that he worked out at camps at Michigan and Michigan State.

Brown's first scholarship offer came from Central Michigan. While he was camping in the state of Michigan, Brown came away with two new scholarship offers.

"Michigan State and Michigan, they both offered after camp," Brown said. "Michigan is my favorite. I'm probably going to decide pretty soon."

The 5-foot-10 and 184-pound Brown made 30 tackles and intercepted five passes during his sophomore season. He is from the same high school as former Michigan great Charles Woodson.

Ohio DB lands two offers

Rising senior Jude Adjei-barimah (Columbus, Ohio/Northland) has landed his first two scholarship offers.

Adjei-barimah worked out at Bowling Green's camp a little over a week ago, then received a scholarship offer from the Falcons. He added a scholarship offer from Kent State this past weekend.

"Right now I like Kentucky, Iowa State, UNLV, Bowling Green, Toledo and Ohio University," Adjei-barimah said. "I'd say Bowling Green is my favorite. They have offered, plus they are fifth in the country in my major, sports management."

The 5-foot-10 and 177-pound Adjei-barimah made 38 tackles, intercepted a pass and deflected nine others during his junior season.

Adjei-barimah says he will likely wait until sometime during the football season before selecting a college.
