ALCS: Home plate ump has some style Monday, October 19, 2009 \| Print Entry Posted by Jim Caple 4:40 p.m. ET Home plate umpire Bill Miller did his best Leslie Nielsen imitation on a pitch to Jorge Posada in the second innning. Miller gave an emphatic strike call, all but moon-walking to the dugout. It was so emphatic, in fact, that Posada decided to check with Miller that it was only the second strke, not a strike-three punchout. And it was strike two. Posada eventually walked.
