8:02 p.m. ETLongtime Angels favorite Tim Salmon returned to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before ALCS Game 5.
Since his retirement in 2006, Salmon has obtained a bachelors degree in applied management from Grand Canyon University. He has several outside business interests, and stays busy helping out as a coach on his kids' youth league teams.
Salmon finished his career with 299 home runs, but has no regrets over falling just short of 300.
"If I had 301 [homers], nobody is going to remember that,'' Salmon said with a laugh. "Hey, it makes for a great conversation piece.''
