9:15 p.m. ETA.J. Burnett, who was lit up for four first-inning runs by the Angels on Thursday, is not a pitcher who suffers first-inning blues as a rule. According to Mark Simon of ESPN Research, Burnett allowed nine first-inning runs in 33 starts this season. Opponents have batted only .207 against him in the first inning for his career.
