Signature Game Oct. 21, 1980 -Steve Carlton pitched seven dominant innings against the Kansas City Royals, leading the Philadelphia Phillies to a 4-1 victory in Game 6 of the World Series and the first world championship in franchise history.

Carlton allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks with seven strikeouts for his second victory in the Series.
