NHL • They may not have enjoyed it, but Boston fans saw a true rarity in the Hurricanes' 5-2 win over the Bruins on Thursday night. Ray Whitney erased a 1-0 Bruins lead with three even-strength goals in the span of 100 seconds late in the second period. The last player to score three times at even strength within 100 seconds was Bill Mosienko of the Blackhawks, who did it in 21 seconds against the Rangers in 1952.
